From rainfall to response in five steps

AmritaKripa turns raw meteorological data into actionable risk information for officials on the ground.

01

Rainfall data comes in

Hourly rainfall observations and forecasts from multiple meteorological sources are ingested automatically. Data quality checks flag anomalies before processing.

02

Models score it

Five rainfall models, each run across six time windows, produce 30 independent risk scores. The models have been calibrated against historical landslide records in the study region.

03

Risk mapped per panchayat

Scores are aggregated and displayed as a colour-coded map at Gram Panchayat level. Officials see at a glance which administrative units are at elevated risk in the current hour.

04

Exposure found

For any panchayat or reported incident point, the platform searches up to 20 km for exposed settlements, roads, and health facilities. Population and facility counts are returned immediately.

05

Officials act

District and panchayat officials use the risk map and exposure lists to prioritise evacuation, pre-position resources, and coordinate with health and emergency services.
